We are stoked to announce that we are seven days away from launching our deals and auctions! It has been quite the ride getting here and we appreciate the support and patience from the ethically hip community (that’s you!), and our business and charity partners.
On September 6th, subscribers will see an email in their inbox that highlights our first deal and auction. Just follow the links in the email or hit www.ethicallyhip.com to see the deal. Our plan is to start with a new deal every few days. We are a small, grassroots company with a commitment to support local causes, so you won’t be bombarded with a ton of offers. Our focus is on quality not quantity, and you will have lots of time to purchase the deals and hopefully refer them to your friends.
We are also proud to be launching our eHIP auctions next week. The auctions feature unique items and experiences from great local companies. It’s a great way for charities to raise much-needed funds by taking the traditional charity auction to the internet. The auction interface looks similar to the deals page except that you will be bidding rather than buying.
We know that there are a ton of group buying sites in Vancouver and sometimes it feels like there is a new one starting up every week. This provides the consumer with an incredible variety and number of great deals to choose from. We encourage people to see what other deal sites are offering but please consider the great opportunity you have to really make a difference in your community with your purchasing power.
Ethically Hip gives 100% of the net profits to local causes like the Food Bank so please take a look at what our business partners are offering, and if you see a deal that you like or a cause that you believe in, then buy it. You get a great deal, the business gets a great new customer, and the charity gets a much-needed donation.
